Well £%#*

I won't lie, this blog has been left unattended for a while. R E D x A C 3 is gone. He changed his gamertag, in fact. I'd like to start this blog up again, but who knows if I'll have the time. Or if you will even read it. But, here we are. A month old blog, me, and that one guy in the blue shirt that came here by accident :P Well, I'll see about starting this blog back up.

6 November

Blastin' And Relaxin' (2000 cR)- Kill 180 enemies in any game mode of Reach.
Gunslinger (1000 cR)- Kill 100 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Points, Points (2500 cR)- Score 20,000 points in a Firefight Matchmaking.
Got A Triple Double (500 cR)- Earn 3 Double Kills in the same match in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Total: 6000 Credits

Well, here we are. These are fairly straightforward challenges, guys. All I can really say is just play. There's no great way to get Double Kills, although R E D x A C 3 would say SWAT. Hmmmmm. I don't have anything to say, honestly. This is an easy day if you have the time.

Daily Challenges - 05 November

Friday, November 05

Daily Challenges
#1:
Shootin' And Lootin': Kill 250 enemies in any game mode in Reach (2500 cR)
#2: More Than A Handful: Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (1250 cR)
#3: Mostly At Night: Complete "Nightfall" on Legendary without dying (1250 cR)
#4: Shut Up!: Customize your Spartan's armor in the Armory (777 cR)

Total: 5777 Points

Ok, so today is a really good day for challenges. First off, just do Shut Up!, which only requires you to change one part of your armor (helmet, shoulder pads, etc.) and you can just change it back. Then, just complete More Than A Handful. That'll get you halfway through Shootin' And Lootin'. Then, do Mostly At Night, using the buddy system of one going ahead and the one trying to get the challenge to stay behind and wait, then switching off.

Because these guys won't go easy on you

If you haven't gotten 250 kills by then, just go play some Firefight or Multiplayer.

Good luck and have fun today guys!

Daily Challenges - 04 November

Thursday, November 04

Daily Challenges
#1:
One Spartan Army: Kill 250 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (2500 cR)
#2: Supporting Role: Earn 20 assists in Firefight Matchmaking (400 cR)
#3: Killagruntjaro: Earn 35 multikills in a Firefight Matchmaking game (3500 cR)
#4: Orbital Assets: Kill 15 enemies using the Target Designator in Firefight Matchmaking (600 cR)

Total: 7000 Points

Well we finally get a day with a lot of points to earn, but the challenges are freakin' hard. One Spartan Army you should know by now. Supporting Role is kinda iffy, but I think the best way to do it is to play Sniper Battle and get non-headshots and let the other player finish him off. Killagruntjaro is the big one today, and for a big challenge, you're gonna need a big gun.

Like this baby right here.
So just play Rocketfight, but try to get a lot of separate multikills, don't just kill 'em all at once. Orbital Assets is easy, but you gotta make sure your the one who gets to the Target Designator first, so I suggest using sprint.

Well good luck today guys!

Daily Challenges - 3 November

Daily Challenges
#1:
Shootin' And Lootin': Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach (1500 cR)
#2: Pass The Rock: Earn 20 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking (1000 cR)
#3: Roast 'Em, Toast 'Em: Kill 10 enemies while jet-packing in "Exodus" on Normal (600 cR)
#4: J.H. Death Machine: Kill 10 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Grenade Launcher (400 cR)

Total: 3500 Points

Wow, this may be just as worse as yesterday's challenges. Anyway, Shootin' And Lootin' is the same-old same-old. Pass The Rock is not new either, but I found that another way to get assists easier than the Plasma Pistol method is to play Big Team Battle Capture the Flag. Get in a vehicle with a passenger's seat and use your DMR. Keep shooting at people until your partner either runs them over or kills them. If you've shot them enough, you will get an assist and shooting them is easier than you think. If your vehicle gets destroyed, then you better get out of there or you'll get killed instantly with all those other vehicles running around.

You better GTFO dude.
All you need to remember for Roast 'Em, Toast 'Em is that you need to kill the enemy while going up. If you kill them while falling down from a jet-pack flight, it won't count. J.H. Death Machine, well if you can't figure this out then I surely can't help you.

Good luck guys!

31 October

Gunslinger (700 cR)- Kill 75 enemies in multiplayer matchmaking.
A Great Friend (2000 cR)- Earn 30 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Demon (500 cR)- Kill 20 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking.
The Love Of The Game (2500 cR)- Complete 20 games in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Total: 5250 credits

Happy Halloween everyone! At least the challenges match the weekly challenge today. For Gunslinger, just play until you get it. It will vary for different people. For A Great Friend, get a mate and charge a Plasma Pistol, an just take down the shields of your opponent. Then let your mate kill him. Demon is fairly bloody random, and honestly it isn't worth your time. The Love Of The Game is a nice one, just play 20 games. You don't even have to win any of them. Well, have fun, and make sure you get that weekly challenge!

30 October

Shootin' and Lootin' (1500 cR)- Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
Fire When Ready (500 cR)- Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking..
A Satisfied Thirst (2000 cR)- Kill 250 Grunts in Firefight Matchmaking.
Home Field Advantage (800 cR)- Win 4 games in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Total: 4800 Credits
A rather weak day. Blastin' and Relaxin' can be gotten the same way it's always been gotten previously. Fire When Ready just takes some time, but on balance it contributes to the weekly challenge, so just grind away. A Satisfied Thirst is a new one, Rocker Fight is an excellent way to spawn-kill all of the Grunts. For Home Field Advantage, just play Team Slayer. Eventually you'll get it. So, get lots of kills and have fun everybody!

Daily Challenges - 29 October

Friday, October 29

Daily Challenges
#1:
More Than A Handful: Kill 125 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (1250 cR)
#2: Covenant-Cide: Kill 60 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (500 cR)
#3: A Side Of Huevos: Kill 40 enemies with Sniper Rifle headshots in Nightfall on Normal (1500 cR)
#4: The House of Blue Leaves: Kill 111 enemies in a single Firefight Matchmaking game on Heroic (3000 cR)

Total: 6250 Points

Another day, another new set of challenges. More Than A Handful and Covenant-Cide...well you know the drill by now. A Side of Huevos is a new one, but not that difficult as long as your good with a Sniper Rifle. Just make sure to not miss, because you don't get much ammo in this one. The House of Blue Leaves is obviously the toughest. Each game mode is equally as hard for this one, so the only thing I can suggest is to find a game where the other three guys agree to take turns only letting one guy fight (or get four friends in a party to do it, which would probably be easier).

You've got to do this one...ON YOUR OWN
Well good luck today guys!

Daily Challenges - 28 October

Thursday, October 28

Daily Challenges
#1:
One Spartan Army: Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (1500 cR)
#2: Hyper Lethal Vector: Kill 200 enemies with headshots in Firefight Matchmaking (2000 cR)
#3: Points, Points: Score 20000 points in a Firefight Matchmaking game (2500 cR)
#4: One Game, One Spawn: Complete a Firefight Matchmaking game without dying (1000 cR)

Total: 7000 Points

Danggggggg. We've got a lot of points to earn today, but they're not gonna be easy. Don't worry about One Spartan Army, cuz you'll just get it along the way. Hyper Lethal Vector just takes some patients, but all you really have to do is headshot the Grunts, probably with a Magnum or DMR. This challenge is probably done best along-side Points, Points, since both are best achieved on regular Firefight. One Game, One Spawn is always a tough one, but which game mode you should choose really depends on which weapon you're better with. If you can No-Scope pretty easily with a Sniper Rifle, then go for Sniper Battle. If you can kill with Rocket Launchers without killing yourself, then go for Rocketfight. It's just that simple.

Oh, and watch out for these guys too, or they'll screw you over.

Good luck and have fun guys!

Daily Challenges - 27 October

Wednesday, October 27

Daily Challenges
#1:
Blastin' And Relaxin': Kill 180 enemies in any game mode in Reach (2000 cR)
#2: Covenant-Cide: Kill 90 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (1000 cR)
#3: Five-Time Champ: Win 5 games in multiplayer Matchmaking (750 cR)
#4: Oops! All Kills: Earn 5 multikils in multiplayer Matchmaking (400 cR)

Total: 4150 Points

Ehh, not a lot of points today, but luckily they're mostly multiplayer Matchmaking, so you'll be able to progress though the weekly challenge in the meantime. Blastin' And Relaxin' is nothing new, and neither is Covenant-Cide (just play Rocketfight). Five-Time Champ is most easily accomplished on Team games and shouldn't be that hard since it's not "in a row" or anything like that. Oops! All Kills you should probably try in the game mode your best at, since any will do as long as you can kill a lot of people. Be careful of Armor Lock though with this challenge, since you could be standing there waiting for it to dry up and another guy just comes up and beats the shit out of you.

Like this.
Good luck guys!

Daily Challenges - 26 October

Tuesday, October 26

Daily Challenges
#1:
Shootin' And Lootin': Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach (1500 cR)
#2: Secondary Fire: Earn 25 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking (500 cR)
#3: Leadership Element: Kill 45 enemy leaders in the campaign today (1500 cR)
#4: Points, Points: Score 15000 points in a Firefight matchmaking game (1500 cR)

Total: 5000 Points

Well I'd say we've got some pretty tough challenges today. Shootin' And Lootin' is self explanatory and Secondary Fire is nothing new (Plasma Pistol+Full Charge). Leadership Elements is a little weird, but I think it means taking down the highest Elite out of a group of enemies. For this one, the harder the level you pick, the more leaders you can kill, but it's not going to be so easy...

CUZ THEY BIG
Points, Points is best done on regular Firefight (I think they updated regular Firefight on Firefight matchmaking to last 20min, but I'm not sure). Don't try Rocketfight or Sniper Fight because you will never get enough points in one game.

Good luck today guys!

23 October

Shootin' and Lootin' (4000 cR)- Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach
Where There's Smoke (500 cR)- Kill 50 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking.
Harder Than Some (1000 cR)- Complete a Campaign mission on Heroic with Thunderstorm, Famine and Tilt on.
Neuroscience (1200 cR)- Kill 10 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game.
Total: 6700 credits
I'm starting to think weekends are better for challenges :P Shootin' and Lootin', you lot know the drill. Do all the others, them either play campaign or play Forge. The best Forge idea we've had yet is a half submerged map. But more seriously, Wraiths. Lots of them. Where There's Smoke needs no advice. For Harder Than Some, you can always use the first mission. Neuroscience, just play some SWAT. Well guys, it's a pretty good day. Have at it. Also, I don't have any pictures, sooooooooo

Here's a kirby. Enjoy

Daily Challenges - 22 October

Friday, October 22

Daily Challenges
#1:
More Than A Handful: Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (750 cR)
#2: Covenant-Cide: Kill 90 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (1000 cR)
#3: Office Of Not Dying: Complete Oni on Legendary without dying (4000 cR)
#4: Fourth Horseman: Earn 5 multikils in a multiplayer Matchmaking game (1200 cR)

Total: 6950 Points

Today's challenges seem pretty diverse, so there's gonna be a lot of work needed to get all of them. More Than A Handful and Covenant-Cide are nothing new, JUST KILL EM. Office Of Not Dying is definately the hardest challenge I've seen yet, so make sure you do the co-op method with a buddy (he goes ahead and kills em all while you stay back and wait, then do the same for him after you've gotten the challenge). Fourth Horseman would probably be easiest doing Rumble Pit, Team Swat, or Living Dead.

SPARTANS NEVER DIE
Well, good luck today guys!

Daily Challenges - 21 October

Thursday, October 21

Daily Challenges
#1:
Be Their Huckleberry: Kill 200 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the pistol (3500 cR)
#2: Blastin' and Relaxin': Kill 90 enemies in any game mode in Reach (1000 cR)
#3: The House of Blue Leaves: Kill 88 enemies in a single Firefight Matchmaking game on Herioc (1000 cR)
#4: Above The Law: Complete a Round in Firefight Matchmaking without dying (500 cR)

Total: 6000 Points

Well, if you don't like Firefight, then I feel sorry for you because almost all of the challenges today are Firefight-based. If you love it, well you should feel right at home. Be Their Huckleberry isn't hard, it just takes time and patience. Just headshot everything that isn't an Elite. Blastin' and Relaxin' you'll get from the other challenges, so don't worry about that one. The House of Blue Leaves seems the hardest today, but it's still accomplishable. Just do Rocketfight and try to blast everything in sight. Above the Law isn't hard either. Just do sniperfight and go to the high, rocky hill on Outpost, or any high place in a map, and just camp from there.

Time to bring out the big guns.
Well have fun and good luck today guys!

Daily Challenges - 20 October

Wednesday, October 20

Daily Challenges
#1:
A Great Friend: Earn 30 assists in multiplayer Matchmaking (2000 cR)
#2: Fire When Ready: Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (300 cR)
#3: There Are Many Like It: Kill 50 enemies with precision weapons in the Campaign today (500 cR)
#4: Be Their Huckleberry: Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the pistol (1500 cR)

Total: 4300 Credits

We've got some really simple ones today. A Great Friend is pretty difficult alone, but not nearly as difficult with a friend. Just find a Plasma Pistol and blast em with a full charge to get their shields down while your friend kills em. Then swap places so you can both get your credit. Fire When Ready is self-explanatory, along with There Are Many Like It. Be Their Huckleberry is pretty easy on normal Firefight. Just go headshot the Grunts and everything else but Elites.

Good luck today guys!

Daily Challenges - 19 October

Tuesday, October 19

Daily Challenges
#1:
Gunslinger: Kill 40 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (400 cR)
#2: One Spartan Army: Kill 150 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (1500 cR)
#3: Heroic Holdout: Kill 50 enemies on Holdout on Heroic in Firefight Matchmaking (600 cR)
#4: The Dream Shake: Earn 4 Double Kills in the same match in Multiplayer Matchmaking (1000 cR)

Total: 3500 Points

Eh, today's not that great of a day for challenges. For what they are, the challenges are pretty cheap points wise. Gunslinger is easy, just go play any type of multiplayer Matchmaking. One Spartan Army is definitely not a new one, just go do Rocketfight and spawn-kill em. Heroic Holdout can be done with Rocketfight as well, so you have the possibility of getting two challenges in the same game. And finally, The Dream Shake. This one's probably the toughest, but if you've had enough training in SWAT, then it'll be a piece of cake. If not, try Rumble Pit or Team Slayer.

Just keep your cool guys. YOU CAN DO THIS.

Good luck!

18 October

Shootin' and Lootin' (1000 cR)- Kill 100 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
Covenant-cide (1000 cR)- Kill 90 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking.
Streaky Shooter (1200 cR)- Earn 10 sprees in Multiplayer Matchmaking.
Cook 'Em, Clean 'Em (450 cR)- Kill 10 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking while you're jet-packing.
Weekly Challenge: Like Mike (2000 cR)- Finish a multiplayer Matchmaking game with at least 30 kills.
Total (excludes Weekly)- 3650 Credits

Today is alright. Doable, if nothing else. Shootin' and Lootin' is the easiest, you'll get it through the other challenges, or just play some Campaign or play on Forge. Covenant-cide is also pretty doable. Just go play a few games. I recommend Rocket-fight or Sniper-fight, because you get several when they jump out of the ship. Streaky Shooter will be easy for some of you and a pain in the arse for others. So, for those who will have difficulty with sprees, I think the best way is to play Juggernaut. Just kill everyone with it, and you should get both a Killing Spree and a Hammer Spree. But if anyone has any other ideas, let us know. For Cook 'Em, Clean 'Em, just remember to be actively pressing LB when you kill them, otherwise it might not count. For the Weekly Challenge, I'm honestly not sure of a 100% way to do it. You can always play on Team Slayer, and hope you get lucky. On balance, though, this might work. If you ever get put in a Rally game (God forbid, they're horrible), you might want to try killing the other racers. The score isn't bases on kills in the game, but they gave you an Assault Rifle for a reason, didn't they? I don't know. It would definitely make you a few enemies. Well, good luck with these guys!

17 October

More Than A Handful (750 cR)- Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Pass The Rock (1000 cR)- Earn 20 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Mostly At Night (4000 cR)- Complete Nightfall on Legendary without dying.
Textbook001 (700 cR)- Kill 25 enemies with Sniper Rifle headshots on Normal.
Total: 6450 credits
Another good day! For More Than A Handful, just play multiplayer. Juggernaut is a good mode, if you can stay the Juggernaut. Pass the Rock requires two things, a mate and a plasma pistol. Team Doubles or Team Slayer are excellent for this. Just stick together and take out their shields. Nothing new. For Mostly At Night, same thing as yesterday. Use someone else as cannon fodder. You'll be in their debt, but just do the same for them. For Textbook001, if you need to do some training, practise in Forge. Otherwise, just shoot them. If you want to have some fun, turn on Grunt Birthday. Serve them up a nice cup of hot lead. Well, good luck everybody!

Saturday, October 16, 2010

Daily Challenges - 16 October

Blastin' and Relaxin' (500 cR)- Kill 50 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
Supporting Role (400 cR)- Earn 20 assists in Firefight Matchmaking.
Office of Not Dying (4000 cR)- Complete ONI on Legendary without dying.
Heroic Demon (2500 cR)- Kill 50 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking on Heroic or harder.
Total: 7400 Credits

Alright, as far as I know, this is the best day yet. And it's not going to be a fun day. Blastin' and Relaxin' can be gotten through the others, but if not: Forge up something crazy. Use your bloody imagination. Supporting Role, my best advice is to shoot to maim. Don't go for headshots, as tempting as they are. Have someone else pick them off quick before their shields regenerate though. The Office of Not Dying will take awhile, but here's what you do: play with a mate, and have him do go ahead, clearing out enemies. You should stay back well away from the fighting. Then, just switch places so he can get it. You can still get the challenge if your teammate dies and you live. Heroic Demon just takes some patience and luck. They may not always spawn, but when they do, just blast away. You'll get some of them for sure. Cheers!

Daily Challenges - October 15

Friday, October 15

Daily Challenges
#1:
Shootin' And Lootin': Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach (4000 cR)
#2: A Great Friend: Earn 15 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking (900 cR)
#3: No "I" In Team: Earn 6 assists in a multiplayer Matchmaking game (360 cR)
#4: Up Close and Personal: Kill 5 enemies with close quarters combat in a multiplayer Matchmaking game (250 cR)

Total: 5510 Points

The challenges are kinda iffy today. While you can get 4000 cR for Shootin' And Lootin', it's seemed to have lowered the points of the other challenges. A Great Friend, along with No "I" In Team, can be pretty frustrating, but if you have a friend to play with, just stick together and take turns using the Plasma Pistol at full charge, taking down their shields. Up Close and Personal is pretty easy, which is why it has only 250 cR. Just find a shotgun or simply melee your opponents.

Good luck guys!

Tips - SWAT

First off, download this map:
http://www.haloreachforum.com/announcement.php?f=&a=1

It's called The Gym, and it's meant to improve your accuracy and speed-shots. Just use the DMR on all of them if you wanna train for SWAT.

Now for the tips:
-JUMP. It throws your opponents off and you'll get a height and angle advantage. This does take some practice to get right, so practice with some buddies or on dummies in Custom Match. Trust me, you're gonna wanna be able to do this. It's probably the most useful skill in SWAT, or in getting headshots in general.

-Crouch when shooting long-distance. Crouching when shooting the DMR reduces the recoil.

-MOVE. Never EVER stand still. If you're searching for enemies, move in awkward patterns until you find one. Then you should stop, or you won't be able to focus on your aim very well...

-DMR > Magnum. Although the Magnum has a greater rate-of-fire, the DMR is ALWAYS more accurate, and that's what SWAT is based on.

-WHACK. Melee still does damage in SWAT. If you have shot the enemy a couple of times and he's in your face, just freakin melee him! Don't get caught trying to get some insane close-range headshot, because you're not gonna win if your opponent knows to melee you.

-Camping won't get you far in SWAT. For one thing, the DMR is not a Sniper Rifle. It's accuracy isn't that great and it takes awhile for the accuracy to return to normal from recoil. Secondly, if you're hiding behind a corner, waiting for someone to come around, you gotta freakin hit 'em in the head, or they're gonna turn around and splatter you against the wall.

-Now, just because camping won't work well doesn't mean location isn't important. First off, don't crouch in front of a rail so that just your head is sticking out. You'll think you're well covered, but what you've done is exposed the only spot they need to shoot you in. Just stand up, since you need to MOVE around anyway. Secondly, height is a big advantage. If you're above the enemy, more of their head will be exposed and it will be easier to shoot. Plus, when you're higher up, less or your head is shown and the enemy will be scrambling for a better shot.

-So let's say you run into 3 enemies. Normally, you'd be screwed, BUT THIS IS SWAT BABY. There's plenty of situations where I've wiped out all of the 4 players on opposing team, by using this one strategy: ONE AT A TIME. Just focus on the guy in front of you, because he's gonna have the best shot at you and could possibly come and melee you. Remember: MOVE, JUMP, AND WHACK. Most of the time, you'll get at least 2 of the guys, if not 3 or even all of them.

Daily Challenges - 14 October

Thursday, October 14

Daily Challenges
#1:
More Than A Handful: Kill 77 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (750 cR)
#2: One Spartan Army: Kill 250 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (2500 cR)
#3: Hyper Lethal Vector: Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with headshots (2000 cR)
#4: Blast Radius: Kill 30 enemies in Firefight matchmaking with grenades (600 cR)

Total: 5850 Points

Whoh, we've got some hard challenges today. More Than A Handful is easy if you go play Rumble Pit. As for the rest, I suggest doing Sniper Battle. You'll get your 250 kills faster, while getting your headshots, but it's still gonna take awhile. For Blast Radius, just chuck some grenades where the the Grunts land out of the dropship.

Good luck guys!

Daily Challenges - 13 October

Wednesday, October 13

Daily Challenges
#1:
Fire When Ready: Kill 30 enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (300 cR)
#2: Just a Shower: Complete any Campaign mission on Normal or harder with Thunderstorm on (2000 cR)
#3: Heroic Demon: Kill 20 Elites in Firefight Matchmaking on Heroic or harder (2000 cR)
#4: Headshot Honcho: Kill 11 enemies with headshots in a multiplayer Matchmaking game. (1100 cR)

Total: 5400 Points

Well today's challenges are pretty simple. Fire when Ready is self explanitory. Just a Shower should be easiest on the first mission, considering it's the shortest and, well, it's the first mission. Heroic Demon shouldn't be too hard. Just play some Rocketfight in Firefight Matchmaking and you should be set. And finally, to get Headshot Honcho, just go play some Team Swat. It's just that simple.

Have fun guys!

Daily Challenges - 12 October

Tuesday, October 12

Daily Challenges
#1:
Shootin' And Lootin': Kill 150 enemies in any game mode in Reach. (1500 cR)
#2: Return of the Mack: Kill 50 Elites in Campaign today on normal or harder. (3000 cR)
#3: Above the Law : Complete a Round in Firefight Matchmaking without dying. (500 cR)
#4: Home Field Advantage: Win 7 games in multiplayer Matchmaking. (1400 cR)

Total: 6400 Points

We got a lot of points to get today guys! Shootin' And Lootin' you will get through completing the other challenges, so don't worry about it. Return of the Mack can be done pretty fast using this method (Youtube), which can also get you a lot of points. Above the Law can be completed pretty easily too. Just do Sniperfight and camp like a mofo (works best on the rocky hill on Outpost). Home Field Advantage would be easiest to get in any Team mode, since it doesn't depend on you winning to get a "win."

So there ya go. Good luck today!

Monday, October 11, 2010

Daily Challenges - 11 October

Monday, October 11

Weekly Challenge:

Your Daily Dose: Complete all the Daily Challenges for a given day (2000 cR)

Daily Challenges
#1:
More Than A Handful: Kill 77 Enemies in multiplayer Matchmaking (750 cR)
#2: One Spartan Army: Kill 100 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking (1000 cR)
#3: Roast 'Em, Toast 'Em: Kill 10 enemies while jet-packing in 'Exodus' on Normal (600 cR)
#4: The T.G. Opposition: Kill 40 enemies in Firefight Matchmaking with the Shotgun (600 cR)

Total: 2950 Points

More Than A Handful should be self-explanatory; just go play some Matchmaking until you end up getting 77 kills. For One Spartan Army, just pick Rocketfight and blast 'em away. Roast 'Em, Toast 'Em is a little more challengeing, but if you've done it before it shouldn't be that hard. Just get to the jet-packing part (you have to start from the beginning to get there) and when you get to the platform with all the enemies, just keep jet-packing and shooting them. Remember, the game won't count it if you're not flying upward when you get the kill, so make sure you don't kill an enemy on the way back down. T.G. Opposition is probably the easiest out of these. Just play regular Firefight and choose the class with the shotgun.

Good luck guys!

Daily Challenges- 10 October

Where There's Smoke (500 Cr)- Kill 50 enemies in firefight matchmaking.
Fire When Ready (500 Cr)- Kill 50 enemies in multiplayer matchmaking.
It Was The Winter (3000 Cr)- Complete Winter Contingency on Legendary without dying.
There Are Many Like It (500 Cr)- Kill 50 enemies with precision weapons in the Campaign today.
Total- 4500 Credits

For the first two, just play. You'll get them pretty quickly regardless. If you only have time for one, then pick firefight, they're both worth the same. And now for It Was Winter. I'll be working on this one >_< For now all I can say is let the AI do the work, and that if your co-op buddy dies, you can still get the challenge. Then for the last one, play The Package and just use the DMR. When you get to the Scorpion, just start over. Happy credit-hunting!

Tips - Easy +1000cR per Game

So here's the simplest way to get some easy creds in Reach. There is another, more repetitive way to get many more credits (which I will link to at the end), but it's really a one time deal and is EXTREMELY BORING.

What you need:
-Xbox Live
-The ability to easily headshot grunts with a DMR

What you will do:
-Enter "Score Attack" under the Cooperative section in Matchmaking. Although it's under Cooperative, you will be playing this mode alone.
-Choose "Gruntpocalypse." If it doesn't show up, just choose "None of the Above."
-Just keep killing those Grunts! You definitely wanna get headshots and go for double and triple kills since most of your points will be coming from Commendations. At the end, you'll get around +600 for Commendations, +300 for Game Completion, and whatever you get from Slot Machine.
-Keep in mind that this is a good way to get those "Kill XXX enemies in any game mode" challenges, but all challenges regarding Firefight Matchmaking won't work in here. Sorry guys.

Daily Challenges- 9 October

Shootin' and Lootin' (4000 Cr)- Kill 400 enemies in any game mode in Reach.
A Great Friend (900 Cr)- Earn 15 assists today in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Three Dog Fight (750 Cr)- Earn a Triple Kill in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Came From Behind (750 Cr)- Perform 2 assassinations in multiplayer Matchmaking.
Total Credits: 6900 Credits :)

One of the best days for Credits yet! For Shootin' and Lootin', you'll probably get it getting the others. If not, loaf up a Forge map with your favourite weapons and just play with some mates. I recommend Wraiths and Rocket Launchers. Very fun. For the other three, I would say play with others. That way, you can cooperate to get assists, assassinations, and even that triple kill. All I can say for Three Dog Fight is just be aware of explosives. They can easily get you a kill or two, which leaves your gun free to kill someone. Hope everybody gets these today. Cheers!
